Tori Truslow writes surreal and speculative fiction, fairy tales, travel stories, articles and other oddments. Her short stories have appeared in a number of magazines and anthologies, most recently in Clockwork Phoenix 3: New Tales of Beauty and Strangeness, The Draft, Verge 2011 and Paraxis 02.
She was born in Hong Kong to British parents and grew up in Bangkok. She read English Literature at the University of Warwick and returned to her first love, Thailand, after graduating, where she worked as Writer-in-Residence at Shrewsbury International School from 2008 to 2010. She then returned to Warwick for an MA in Writing. She is now based in the South-East of England, where she writes and runs workshops – for more information about her workshops please see here.
She still returns to Bangkok when she can, where she writes about walking, everyday street-life, and culture in the city at The Streets of Bangkok. She is also working on a novel set there.
